The Virtual Reality Lab employs gaming theory to teach surgical and interventional competencies via self-directed training.
Advances in computerized skills trainers for surgical, invasive and non-invasive procedures have created momentum for the use of these devices within medical curricula. Typically used for training at the graduate medical education level, these training devices are characterized by internal tutorials and feedback algorithms, allowing for learners to proceed at their own individual pace.
Various lecture rooms with full meeting support services are available for didactic segments, accommodating up to 300 people. Catering and AV needs are available as well.
Our center is conveniently located in Central Illinois, about midway between Chicago and St. Louis. Peoria has an international airport as well as many hotel accommodations nearby to fully support a conference or workshop at our center.
